Studio Before and After

And just like that we are in the new studio space.

I am so proud to announce the new space but first I need to put out a huge thank you to my family for all of their support and hard work getting me in to this space. I would not have been able to do this without them, especially not without my husband. I love you all. You are completely amazing. Brad thank you for helping out so much and for putting up with me being stressed to the max over the last few weeks. Love you babe.

When we found the studio space it was really, really rough but one look at the huge bay of windows along the front and I was sold. I knew we could make this space something amazing that I could be proud to work in. It had truly terrible, old, office space carpeting. A wall needed to be removed. The walls needed to be painted (and the dart board ring patched). I can not believe how fast we got everything done. The wall came down and it was full speed ahead from there. I pulled that lovely carpet out myself. My beautiful daughter helped me paint the entire place and then the boys came in and knocked out the floor installation. We got the floor in the boudoir room and the makeup room done and moved on in. All in under 10 days. Seems like it's been much longer than that but here we are and I am so happy with the end result.

Without further adieu the BEFORE:
See that lovely wall blocking all of that inviting window light. Yeah that had to go. So did that carpet!

My handsome go to guy and my lovely assistants.

Getting the work done was messy business but we had plenty of coffee and coke zero to see us through.

My handsome go to guy rocked out the main room floor, like a boss. I love this room! Well now that it's clean and finished I do!

The boudoir floor was another huge task but I think it paid off.

Here is the main shooting space all cleaned up and beautiful.

And last but certainly not least some pictures of my lovely assistant showing off the amazingly inviting light in the new space. It is so soft and just wraps around you like a big warm hug. I love it in there.

Again thank you to my family and all of my friends who helped out (Shannon and the boys big thanks for helping with the move).

I am so very excited to have this space. Can't wait to photograph you in it.

Boudoir Photography in Richmond, VA

Hello everyone! These last few weeks have been crazy busy. I've been getting the family ready for summer vacation to begin and working my tail off so I can take a couple of weeks off this summer. Busy is good though! It just means I didn't get to keep up with the blog last week. I hope you missed me!

I've got a super sexy boudoir blog for you today. This lovely lady has been to see me several times over the last couple of years. I always have a fabulous time working with her. It's nice to see my clients come back year after year. She was one of my very first pin up clients and this time we got to go in a completely different direction and did a seriously sexy boudoir session. She had also just wrapped up an amazing full back tattoo and we just had to include it in the shots. It's so beautiful and so is she.

Beware! Hot Stuff ahead!

Grey looks good on you! Richmond Boudoir Photographer

What to wear what to wear??
What should I wear for my boudoir session? This is one thing that many of my clients initially stress about. My answer? Of course I'll tell you to pack like you're going on vacation, however, as with so many things in life, sometimes less is more. Sometimes just his shirt and tie say it all. This 50 Shades of Grey Boudoir theme is a perfect example of that. A simple grey tie and a mans shirt is all we really need to tell this story.

What story do you want to tell with your boudoir session?
Fathers Day is June 17th. Will you be giving him something he won't forget? Contact me today and you will be. Limited sessions remain available so get yours in time. ginger@422studio.com or call 804-833-0888.

A Night of Honky Tonk Angels

Last June I had the pleasure of working with a wonderful man named Dirk Laguna. You may know him as the man with the fabulous hair in GojiraX. He has organized an annual event here in Richmond, VA to help raise money for Breast Cancer research. It is called A Night of Honky Tonk Angels and it features many talented female honky tonk and rockabilly bands. Well he's doing it again this year and 422 Studio has been invited back to have fun with all of these amazing women. Mark your calendars for June 2 and head to the Canal Club in Richmond, VA to help support the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation.  We all know everyone loves tatas and here at 422 Studio we love to support keeping tatas healthy. I do hope you're able to join us. This event is always a good time and it is such a good cause.

Some of the bands that will be rocking your socks off all night are:
Tammi Kamin Band
Molly Conley
Gina Dalmas
The Ones to Blame
April Mae and the June Bugs
With special guest Andrea Vaughan.
